MACLAS 2015, Ithaca College, Ithaca NY

  In spring 2015, MACLAS was fortunate to hold its Annual Meeting in lovely Ithaca College in Ithaca, with abundant sunshine and greening landscape alongside a slew of interesting & provocative papers & panels focusing on the crossing of disciplinary boundaries in Latin American studies. Our local arrangements host Patricia Rodríguez, working in close collaboration with President Diane Johnson and the entire Executive Committee, helped to make this year's conference a real success.

   The Call for Papers below conveys the theme of the conference — the challenging of tradition, the "interplay between old and new" and the mosaic of connections & disconnections in the diverse identities & cultures & peoples of Latin America, and in the diverse academic disciplines that comprise Latin American studies.
